Which Disney Holiday is Right for You?

You’ve decided that its time you went on a Disney holiday.  But which one? Which Disney experience will be is best for you and your family?
There are a few options to choose from so its not surprising if you’re feeling
confused about which Disney vacation will be best for you.  Before beginning to focus on the details like timing, pricing and length of stay, here is an overview of
your Disney vacation options:

Disney Cruises
Although there has been talke of a third ships being added to the line up at present there are two Disney cruise ships – Disney Magic
and Disney Wonder. Disney also has their own private island in the Bahamas – Castaway Cay – designed as an exclusive port of call for Disney ships.  There are cruises each week departing from Port Carnaveral, Florida to the Bahamas, and the Eastern or Western Carribbean.  From time to time there are other special cruises that go up the west
coast of the US and through the Panama Canal.

Disney Vacation Club
If you think you'd like to make Disney vacations a regular part of your life for years to come then you might want to consider joining the
Disney Vacation Club.  So far more than 90,000 families have already joined this
real estate investment plan which lets them use their annual allotment of
Vacation Points for accommodation at Disneyland in California, Walt Disney World
in Florida, Disneyland in Paris, France or on a Disney Cruises.  Other member benefits include a discount on park tickets.

Disneyland Resort Paris
This is the only Disney park in Europe and is located 19 miles
east of Paris, France.  As well as all the favorite rides and attractions that
you can expect at any Disney park location (the main lands include Main Street, Fantasyland, Discoveryland, Adventureland and Frontierland), Disneyland Resort Paris also has an extra theme park called the ‘Walt Disney Studios’.  It features 10 main
attractions including the Flying Carpets Over Agrabah, CineMagique and the Art of Disney Animation. Disneyland Paris also has a shopping centre, a camping ground, and six Disney resort hotels.

Disneyland Park Resort, California
This was the first Disney park established in 1955 and the only one with the Walt Disney personal imprint.  The complex at Anaheim, California is split into two main theme parks – Disneyland Park and Disney’s California Adventure Park.  Disneyland Park is the primary park and as you would expect there is no shortage of rides and attractions to choose from. Some you will probably have heard of and some you may not. Within the Adventure Park you will find four themed lands –
Hollywood Pictures Backlot, Golden State, Paradise Pier and ‘a bug’s
land’.  And for all the shoppers there is the Downtown Disney District, a large shopping, entertainment and restaurant area, that is located between the two main parks.  Disney has 3 of their own Hotels for you to choose from if you want a complete Disney experience.

Hong Kong Disneyland
At present Hong Kong Disneyland is the smallest of the Disney parks but there are many expansion plans in place to change that. You'll find there a range of rides and attractions from other Disney locations which have been adapted with the local population in mind.  The themed lands include Main Street, Adventureland, Fantasyland, and
Tomorrowland.  Disney has two hotels located right beside the Park on Lantau Island, which is 20 minutes across the water from the International Airport.

Tokyo Disney Resort
This resort, the first Disney
resort to be opened outside the US in 1983, is located in Urayasu, Chiba, on the outskirts of Tokyo.  The Disney complex is made up of two theme parks located next to each other - Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea Park – and 5
Disney Hotels.  The Park features seven themed lands – Fantasyland, Westernland, Toon Town, Critter Country, Tommorrowland, Adventureland, World
Bazaar.  Over at the DisneySea Park you'll also find seven lands – Lost River
Delta, Mermaid Lagoon, Arabian Coast, Port Discovery, Mediterranean Harbor, Mysterious Island, American Waterfront, Mediterranean Harbor.  Of course, a Disney complex would be complete without a shopping, dining and entertainment precinct - known as Ikspiari. This area also features
a children’s play-and-care center.

Walt Disney World
Ever been to Manhattan? Although Walt Disney World was built after Disneyland in California it is the largest, stretching over 47 square miles, that's twice the size of Manhattan.  So wear really comfortable shoes! The Disney site in Lake Buena Vista, Florida has - are you ready for this? - four theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Disney-MGM Studios, Epcot and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park), two water parks (Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Park), a sports complex, car racing track, six golf courses, Disney Downtown area, more than twenty resort hotels, and many dining, shopping, and entertainment options. Phew! Needless to say you will find more than enough to keep you entertained for many days, if not weeks.

Whichever vacation you choose, with Disney being involved it’s sure to be an amazing experience.  To get the most out of your Disney holiday choice make sure you read up as much as you can before you go.
