Walt Disney World Orlando: How to Make Your Disney Holiday Successful

A vacation to Walt Disney World Orlando is a unique event. To ensure that it is all that you want to be, you need to take a few things into account before you arrive.

1. Do Your Research
There is a lot to see and do at Disney theme parks and you need to know what you can expect to that you know what is on your 'must see' list. Also you'll need to work out whether it is best to stay at one of the Walt Disney World Resorts or another hotel close by. If you want the complete Disney experience then staying at one of the many Walt Disney World Resorts will give you that.

2. Don't Skimp on Time
Because of the size of Disney theme parks you need to make sure that you are ample time to see and experience it all. Sure you could whip around quickly but if it is likely to be a once in a lifetime visit then you'll want to savor it all so don't skimp on time.

3. Think Comfort
A visit to a Disney theme park means lots of walking so wear comfortable shoes. You can take spare clothing - good if you are likely go on any water related rides - and then place it in one of the lockers near the entrance so you don't have to carry everything with you.

4. Schedule Down Time
Disneyland is all about fun and that can mean a full on assault on your senses - lots of noise, heaps to see, and many places demanding your attention. To get through the experience without feeling like you need a week's sleep to recover, schedule in some down time during the day. If you do, you'll find you will be able to keep going for longer and will enjoy it more.

5. Look After Everyone's Needs
If you are traveling with a large group or your family has a wide spread of age ranges then make sure that everyone gets a chance to choose what you see and do. You can do this by splitting up and meeting back at an agreed time at one of the many designated meeting points or by each choosing what you will do next.

Follow the above and you will have set yourself up for a wonderful life experience. All you really need do then is have fun!
